Christmas in the Village 2017
December 15, 2017
On Saturday, December 2nd, SkillsUSA volunteers were hard at work helping to make this year’s Christmas in the Village one to remember. A completely non profit event taking place in South Meriden, Christmas in the Village hopes to give everyone that holiday cheer. It was a definite success this year. Our students performed a multitude of tasks that helped out in many ways: Running a hot chocolate and apple cider vendor stand, managing food and book donations, making balloon animals, running various games and a washable tattoo stand for kids, and monitoring traffic at various roadblocks. Finally, many of our students got into various holiday-related costumes: such as Elves, toy soldiers, Rudolph, and Frosty. These students participated in not just the parade but also in giving candy canes to everyone. Christmas in the Village was a huge success due to everyone’s hard work.
