On Saturday, January 25, 2020, Wilcox senior Chloe LaBissoniere was awarded the Virgiree Moore Excellence in Education Book Award.
Virgiree Moore was a beloved educator who organized the annual luncheon every year until her passing. Mrs. Felicia Williams,
a math teacher at Wilcox and a member of NSPDK, Inc., Delta Phi Chapter presented Chloe her award.
Chloe is extremely honored to receive the award and is an active member of the Wilcox community. She has been a lifelong resident of Meriden and is enrolled in the carpentry trade. Chloe is a member of the National Honor Society and Wilcox’s’ peer mentoring programs, and excels as a scholar athlete in volleyball and softball. She is an elite competition dancer who was recently accepted to the Scared Heart Academy Dance Company and has won numerous awards.
Chloe hopes to attend Central Connecticut State University to study construction management or Sacred Heart University next fall. Chloe thanks her family and says they are a major component to her success. Wilcox is proud of Chloe and wishes her luck in her future endeavors.
