Skills Students prepare for Christmas in the Village Celebration

December 12, 2016

On Friday, December 2nd Wilcox’s SKILLUSA students helped cored 2,000 apples in preparation of South Meriden’s Christmas in the Village.  After the apples are cored they are taken to Tom’s Place Restaurant to be baked in cinnamon and sugar.   These apples are given out for free to all people attending this event.  The cinnamon apples were just one of the popular treats being served by village residents. There was also popcorn, hot chocolate, candy canes, roasted chestnuts, churros, doughnuts, and hot dogs.  The goal of “Christmas in the Village” is to bring the community together for a fun filled day.
