On January 24, 2023 a refurbished portrait of Horace C. Wilcox was unveiled. The project began in the summertime when the original painting was located in the school safe. The original painting seen in the photo above had some damages, the Wilcox graphics department decided to refurbish the painting and have it re-printed on canvas and is now hanging in the main entrance hallway
Student Council was involved by informing the school community of the painting and held a trivia contest for students to learn a little more about Wilcox himself. Horace C. Wilcox III, the great grandson of our school’s namesake was in attendance. Horace was able to tour the school and speak with the students over lunch in the Silver City Bistro. Mr. Wilcox was thoroughly impressed with our school and the amazing work we are all doing here each day.
